Dassault Systemes Welcomes a new Partner into the Software Community Program: REALVIZ®

For the first time, REALVIZ® will deliver a V5 integrated solution enabling customers to integrate their 3D virtual products in real environments

 

Paris (France), January 16, 2002 – Dassault Systemes (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) announced today that REALVIZ®, an industry leader in image-based content creation, has joined the Software Community Program as a Partner.  Through this agreement, REALVIZ® will develop and sell two products that will expand the powerful realistic rendering capabilities of CATIA V5 and ENOVIA Portal DMU Solutions by enabling for the first time 3D PLM customers to integrate any virtual object into a real environment (movie or picture). Thanks to these products, boundaries between the virtual and real worlds will be removed. <br/>

 

 

The first one, REALVIZ® STITCHER® CAA V5 Based, will allow V5 users to generate high-quality panoramic images for immersive interactive imaging in 3D environments. They will be able to easily combine horizontally and vertically overlapping photos into stunning wide-angle, high-quality panoramas that can then be used in Photo Studio and Real-Time Rendering to place V5 models into a real environment.<br/>

 

 

The second one, REALVIZ Compositing CAA V5 Based, will allow users to integrate static or animated V5 models such as images, panoramas or video sequences into real environments, and to simulate the realistic rendering representation of their product in a real environment.<br/>

 

 

Dassault Systemes already provides 3D PLM customers with a complete set of powerful and intuitive solutions to accelerate design review. <br/>

 

 

As part of the V5 portfolio, Photo Studio and Real-Time Rendering allow users to simply and quickly generate high-quality photo-realistic images and animations of parts and products.<br/>

 

 

In addition, the ENOVIA Portal DMU products provide advanced collaborative functions to perform review and simulation of Virtual Mock-Up (DMU) using optimum visualization, navigation and communication tools. <br/>

 

 

The combination of the Dassault Systemes and REALVIZ V5-based solutions revolutionizes the virtual mock-up review especially for styling, design and marketing professionals in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods, as well as in AEC and shipbuilding industries.  The ability to integrate their V5 models into a real movie at a very early stage of the development cycle, will allow users to give their feedback on the product from the very beginning of a project.<br/>
