Dassault Systemes Welcomes a New Partner into the Software Community Program: INCAT

INCAT Will Deliver a V5 Fully Integrated Solution for Data or Design Quality Validation


Paris (France), January 28, 2002 – Dassault Systemes (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) announced today that INCAT, following a long-term and successful relationship with V4, has joined the Software Community Program as a Partner.  Through this agreement, INCAT will develop and sell a CATIA integrated solution to ensure data quality by leveraging the V5 Knowledgeware infrastructure and CATIA V5 Knowledge Expert 2 product. Thanks to this integration, V5 customers will benefit from a single knowledge environment platform when deploying their Quality assurance process. <br/>



Dassault Systemes is already delivering natively through the V5 P.P.R (Product, Process, Resource) architecture, a state-of- the-art Knowledgeware infrastructure. It provides a unique way to specify generic rules and checks, to ensure compliance with best practices and easily deploy and increase Quality Assurance within the 3D PLM Customers’ Extended Enterprise.<br/>



In addition CATIA Knowledge Expert 2 is the V5 standard offering for rule checking: it enables customers to build up rules catalogues and share their own corporate knowledge. <br/>



INCAT has already been very successful with I/Check for CATIA V4, a product that has been deployed at many leading companies throughout the world. This experience and their expertise in the data quality domain will contribute significantly to the realisation of their solution for V5. <br/>



INCAT’s product “I/Check CAA V5 Based” will be fully integrated with CATIA V5 and will extend Dassault Systemes Knowledgeware capabilities by providing a diagnostic system that interrogates and checks a CATIA V5 model and compares it against pre-defined, configurable standards. In the first release the checks will be based on the VDA 4955 standards. In following releases, I/Check V5 will provide interactive feedback and problem correction to the users, guiding them in the creation of models that comply to company standards and adhere to best practice modelling methodologies. I/Check V5 will also offer a direct integration with ENOVIA to achieve end-to-end product data quality management. <br/>



By combining Dassault Systemes’ Knowledgeware products and I/Check V5, V5    customers can exploit a single Knowledgeware environment to manage their full Quality Assurance process, enriching the I/Check V5 VDA 4955 standards and “off the shelf” associated checks with their own corporate rules. Thus taking into account all these rules simultaneously, they can save time and effort, ensure that Quality Assurance process is maintained and systematically applied as the data is right the first time and in accordance with their standard practice. They can ultimately attain high quality product output, at a lower cost.  <br/>
