Dassault Systèmes Extends PLM Skills Initiative with Education Partner Certification

New label in partner program designates companies with certified PLM education capabilities

Paris, France - November 3, 2003 - Dassault Systèmes (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the world’s leading developer of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, today announced that its Education Partner Program (EPP) now provides a new level of partner certification.

The certified education partner label distinguishes existing education partners that have demonstrated excellence in deploying Dassault Systèmes learning solutions, and gone through a formal certification process. The EPP is made up of a growing network of more than 50 companies with 600 teachers in 30 countries that provide education and training on Dassault Systèmes’ CATIA, ENOVIA, and SMARTEAM PLM solutions.

The label is a guarantee that a partner’s personnel is composed of “Certified Instructors”, a new specialization in Dassault Systèmes’ worldwide certification program that confirms expert-level PLM and teaching skills. A testing process ensures that certified instructors possess the skills, knowledge and ability to train students on how to maximize the benefits of PLM solutions.

Certified Education Partners have proven expertise in providing customized training, aligned with customers’ specific business processes. They are qualified in developing education modules based on Companion, Dassault Systèmes’ award-winning workplace learning platform, to enable users to make the most of their training and accelerate their skill ramp-up.

“The Certified Education Partner label is awarded to education providers with proven track records in engineering learning programs,” said Philippe Forestier, executive vice president Alliances, Marketing, and Communications, Dassault Systèmes. “They provide the world-class learning solutions that leading companies require to maintain the competitive advantage they create with Dassault Systèmes’ PLM solutions.”
