Dassault Systemes to buy the consulting business of Alliance Commerciale Technologique
Suresnes, France, July 11, 2001 — Dassault Systemes (Euronext Paris # 13065, DSY.PA, Nasdaq : DASTY) and Alliance Commerciale Technologique (ACT), a provider of PLM services, have signed a definitive agreement under which, Dassault Systemes (DS) will buy ACT’s PLM consulting and services business and related assets in a cash transaction for a value of 11M$CAN. <br/>
Alliance Commerciale Technologique has had a long-standing relationship with DS since its creation in 1994 and has become a key player of PLM Consulting and Engineering services for DS’ customer base. <br/>
This acquisition is one step toward consolidating a global PLM services force within the DS Group working in partnership with IBM to respond to the increasing demand from partners and customers for highly qualified expertise to support the introduction and an accelerated deployment of PLM solutions. This transaction reinforces DS’ presence in the Americas and complements its existing services groups within ENOVIA, Dassault Systemes of America and DELMIA. <br/>
Dr Abdellah Hoummady, founder and president of ACT will be helping transition the relationship with certain large accounts. Bruce Van Nus, currently Vice President of Consulting & Services for the Americas within Dassault Systèmes of America, will become the CEO of this new entity.
