Dassault Systèmes and Sogeti Group Sign Industry Solution Alliance

To accelerate and secure PLM deployments to industries’ specific practices

Suresnes, France, July 2, 2008- Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, and Sogeti Group, a member of the Capgemini Group, today announced that they have signed an industry solution alliance.  By combining Dassault Systèmes’ products and solutions with Sogeti’s expertise and skills in the high-technology consulting area, the companies will create industry-focused, best-practices offers to accelerate and secure PLM 2.0 deployments.

“As more companies are adopting PLM as a core system, the need for customized PLM solutions and services is increasing. We are proud to team with Dassault Systèmes, a visionary company that has been in this business for over 25 years and is now a world leader in PLM activities and products,” says Luc-François Salvador, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sogeti Group.

“Sogeti is recognized as a leader in its field and has impressive knowledge and service offerings with high-level consulting engineering skills and expertise in many sectors.  We welcome Sogeti as partner in our industry solution alliance program,” says Bruno Latchague, EVP, PLM Business Transformation, Dassault Systèmes.

As part of the first offering, Dassault Systèmes and Sogeti have already begun targeting aerospace industry best practices.  Today, aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 partners are facing difficulties quickly accomplishing master model creation and simulation within a fully associative process.  This slows the design change process and often results in more human errors. The solution, called “Aircraft Structural Optimization”, will address these issues as they occur during aircraft conception, and will support a high level of parametric modifications, as well as quick propagation to both geometry and analysis.
