Dassault Systemes and SchlumbergerSema Form Partnership to Deliver Integration Services Based on ENOVIA e-Collaboration Solutions

Paris, October 3, 2001 – Dassault Systèmes, the world’s leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, and SchlumbergerSema, a leading global IT company, today announced that they have signed a partnership agreement to offer industrial clients comprehensive solutions for internet-based collaborative engineering (e-Collaboration). These solutions will enable companies to exchange data and share engineering design processes with their suppliers and sub-contractors over the web.
The partnership combines Dassault Systèmes’ ENOVIA Solutions, specifically the ENOVIA Portal, with the SchlumbergerSema expertise in business process consulting and systems integration, to provide an open environment for technical exchange and product development, using the Internet as the primary medium for engineering collaboration.
The new integrated services will allow industrial companies to share information related to product configuration and product development maturity via a secured, real-time channel using digital templates. In initial implementations, this approach has proven to significantly accelerate the product design process and improve supplier communication resulting in higher quality products being introduced in shorter timeframes at reduced costs.
Based on Dassault Systèmes’ products, SchlumbergerSema can provide an e-Collaboration solution that will guarantee confidentiality and security. The solution will also optimize the product development processes while reducing product delivery cycle time. Dassault Systèmes and SchlumbergerSema have already successfully worked together to supply this solution to the PSA Peugeot Citroën group. The agreement today further strengthens their positioning in the marketplace for e-Collaboration solutions for industry.
"The meeting project demonstrated at MICAD at the beginning of the year is now operational with our first suppliers, allowing us to provide access to our digital model via the ENX secured internet network, thus enabling their CoDesign remit to be fulfilled,” said Jean-Jacques Urban-Galindo, director of the PSA Peugeot-Citroën digital engineering project (INGENUM). “We are delighted with the success of this solution and the positive outcome stems from the close working partnership of PSA Peugeot-Citroën, Dassault Systèmes and SchlumbergerSema."
