Dassault Systemes and IBM Enhance e-business Solutions for the Digital Enterprise

Integration of ENOVIA and WebSphere Technologies, Accelerates Manufacturers’ Transition to e-business.

CATIA Operators Exchange (COE) – Palm Springs, California (USA), 5 April 2000--Dassault Systemes (NASDAQ: DASTY) and IBM announced today that ENOVIA Solutions will include IBM’s WebSphere Application Server as a key component of its e-business application architecture.

This reinforces the Dassault Systemes-IBM strategic commitment to the digital enterprise approach as a way for manufacturers to accelerate and transform how they manage and run their extended enterprise in a digital environment, from product concept to production to customer delivery and support.

Powered by WebSphere, ENOVIA Solutions integrate product creation with the other major processes of the digital enterprise such as customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, and supply chain management. Users throughout the extended enterprise can take advantage of immediate access to 3D product data from anywhere and while doing any task. The ability to do this is transforming the way businesses interact with other businesses (B2B) and customers (B2C).

Explained Pat Toole, IBM General Manager, Product Design Management, "Our goal is to provide users with innovative tools to speed their transition to e-business. Integrating WebSphere Application Server with ENOVIA Solutions enables manufacturers to exploit the full power of IBM’s e-business solutions and make their companies more competitive."
