LAS VEGAS, May 2, 2007 - Dassault Systèmes (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, announced today a partnership with Creaform Inc. to integrate a laser scanning and 3D modeling solution that accelerates product development and improves quality. Aerospace, automotive, and medical engineers and multimedia professionals will use the solution for reverse-engineering, inspection and product optimization applications.

Creaform’s CAA-based software allows real time creation of surfaces scanned by the Handyscan 3D into CATIA’s standard data model. This new application from Creaform eliminates manual data importing and re-rendering between the Handyscan 3D, a self-positioned handheld scanner that creates digital images of solid objects, and CATIA.
