August 20, 2024

  • Dassault Systèmes, NAICO Malaysia and Feiran Technology have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost innovation in Malaysia’s aerospace sector by enhancing digital skills and fostering growth.
  • Leveraging Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the partnership will establish a 3D Visualization Lab at the MyAERO Center and develop the Malaysia Aerospace Digital System (MADS) to modernize the aerospace supply chain and operations.
  • The new NAICO Industry Training Center will be established as a certified 3DEXPERIENCE platform training hub, supporting national strategic goals and boosting the local aerospace industry's global competitiveness.

Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) today announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia’s National Aerospace Industry Corporation (NAICO) and Feiran Technology. The MoU is aimed at driving innovation and transformative growth within the Malaysian aerospace sector, with a strong focus on elevating the digital competencies of the nation’s current and future aerospace workforce.

At the heart of this collaboration is the establishment of a cutting-edge “3D Visualization Lab” within the Malaysia Aerospace Center of Excellence (MyAERO Center). This facility will leverage the capabilities of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, offering comprehensive training that spans the entire product development lifecycle from design and simulation to collaboration and manufacturing. By providing local businesses with access to advanced digital applications and training, this initiative will prepare Malaysian companies to compete globally.

Another cornerstone of this MoU is the development of the Malaysia Aerospace Digital System (MADS), supported by Feiran Technology Services. MADS is designed to digitalize the local aerospace ecosystem by transforming the supply chain, modernizing MRO operations, and meeting the stringent requirements of original equipment manufacturers through an integrated digital framework. By incorporating advanced technologies such as machine learning, cybersecurity, and seamless ERP integration, MADS will create a resilient and future-ready aerospace industry in Malaysia.

The MoU also includes the creation of the NAICO Industry Training Center, which will establish NAICO Malaysia as a certified training hub for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This center will play a pivotal role in equipping local companies with the skills and knowledge necessary to optimize their operations and strengthen their supply chains, further aligning with Malaysia’s strategic objectives.

“Through our collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and Feiran Technology, we are committed to harnessing digital innovations to elevate our aerospace industry to new heights. We are confident that these initiatives will significantly contribute to our goals outlined in the Malaysian Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 and the 12th Malaysia Plan,” said Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah, Chief Executive Officer, NAICO Malaysia.

“In a rapidly advancing digital world, Feiran Technology is committed to driving the evolution of Malaysia’s aerospace industry. By partnering with Dassault Systèmes, we aim to equip local businesses with the strategic tools and insights necessary not just to participate but to lead and set new benchmarks in the global aerospace sector,” said Shabudin Md Saman, Managing Director, Feiran Technology.

“We are excited to be a part of this journey with NAICO Malaysia as they take a significant step towards positioning Malaysia on the global stage. Given the capabilities of our 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we are confident it will serve as an important link between the industry players, government agencies and academia in strengthening the capabilities of Malaysian aerospace companies,” said Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Dassault Systèmes.
