Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate digital transformation and enhance
Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem, focusing on technological advancements in key
    industry sectors.
  • The MoU includes enhancing industry ecosystems and promoting digital innovation
in areas such as smart factories, smart cities, and environmental technology, with
a strong emphasis on workforce development and fostering innovation through
    various initiatives.
  • The partnership is aligned with Vietnam’s innovation agenda, using Dassault
Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform to model, simulate, and optimize operations.

Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) and Vietnam’s National Innovation Center (NIC), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate Vietnam’s digital transformation and strengthen its innovation ecosystem. This partnership aims to propel technological advancements and shape the future of Vietnam’s key industries.

The MoU outlines several key objectives, including the promotion of digital innovation in critical sectors such as smart factories, smart cities, hydrogen, high-tech, semiconductors, data centers, environmental technology, medical devices, and digital communications. This partnership with NIC will foster innovation across the ecosystem through dedicated joint initiatives such as innovation challenges, competitions, and networking opportunities, promoting technological progress and collaboration among businesses, startups, and government entities.

Another major focus is the enhancement of skilled workforce development. The agreement aims to develop a highly skilled workforce tailored to the future needs of Vietnam’s key industries through digital technologies. This includes training and upskilling initiatives to equip workers with the knowledge and expertise required to operate and innovate within their respective sectors, utilizing cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies. The goal is to ensure that industries are not only technologically advanced but also supported by a capable and forward-thinking workforce. To achieve these goals, Dassault Systèmes and NIC will form a partnership to support initiatives aligned with Vietnam’s innovation agenda. These initiatives will leverage virtual twin experiences through Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, enabling businesses to model, simulate, and optimize their operations with state-of-the-art digital technology.

“This partnership with Dassault Systèmes is another big step forward, following our collaboration with them at the recent Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Innovation Day in Hanoi. Our focus on supporting Vietnam’s growth industries toward digitalization requires industry leaders, technology enablers, the public sector, academic institutions, and most importantly, the people of Vietnam, to drive such initiatives. The critical role of innovation in enhancing design and manufacturing capabilities in Vietnam is essential to that growth,” said Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director, NIC.

“Since establishing our office in Vietnam in 2021, we have made remarkable progress in supporting the country’s digital transformation by collaborating with major manufacturers. Digitalization is reshaping the manufacturing landscape in Vietnam, and by harnessing the collaborative power of our 3DEXPERIENCE platform and virtual twin experiences, we are dedicated to advancing this momentum with NIC to develop a robust innovation ecosystem. This effort aligns seamlessly with Vietnam’s ambitious objectives for industrial and economic growth,” said Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Dassault Systèmes.
