Join us in shaping the future of ML-accelerated numerical simulations. Our R&D Fluids Workflow Management team is excited to announce we have an internship opportunity available in our Madrid (Spain) office.

As part of the SIMULIA User Experience & Value Streams team, the Fluids Workflow Management contributes to the Mission of :

"Ensuring the success of our Strategic Customers by supporting & driving Value Streams with detailed workflow assessments, from identification & prioritization of gaps, to the assessment of the solution & value delivered."

The main focus of the team is on performing in-depth assessments of fluids workflows : from customer requirements to the extraction of relevant KPIs, including intermediate steps such as geometry preparation, simulation setup and design exploration study (including ML surrogation).

Your responsibilities

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading Fluids simulation software and AI-based assistant tools. You will be provided with specific training on the required Dassault Systemes products and will be mentored by senior engineers.

As an integral part of the Fluid Workflow Management Team you will:

  • Assess AI-assisted Physics Model Idealization, Meshing and Results Interpretation for Fluids simulations
  • Explore, test and improve AI-based assistants for Fluids simulations
  • Gain experience with numerical and simulation techniques used for fluid dynamics analysis
  • Develop technical skills by working hands-on with Computational Fluid Dynamics software tools
  • Assist senior engineers in developing and preparing technical demonstrations and tutorials for existing and potential customers
  • Participate in team meetings helping to define the alignment of complex simulation solutions with customer needs
  • Present results and findings to the team and the wider R&D department

Your qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field, you have some experience in CFD verification and validation processes and/or in AI-assisted virtual companions and prompting.

You work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and communicate effectively in both writing and speech.

Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented, you are eager to learn and take on challenges.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
