Data Analyst

Role Description & Responsibilities
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities that drive strategic decisions
- Build and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering)
- Perform data wrangling, preprocessing, and cleaning to prepare data for analysis and modeling
- Design and execute experiments (e.g., A/B testing) to evaluate hypotheses and business initiatives
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, product managers, and business teams to define data requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in a data science or quantitative analytics role with a good understanding of machine learning and operations research
- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
- Experience in data mining across different industry segments like Automobile, Infrastructure & Equipment, Aerospace & Defense, manufacturing, Mining etc
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in a clear and actionable way
