Greentown Labs is a climate-tech incubator dedicated to accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship to address the world’s most pressing climate challenges. Based in the United States, the organization brings together entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, policymakers, and ecosystem partners to support and scale innovative climate technologies and build a more sustainable future.

Collaboration with 3DEXPERIENCE Lab

Greentown Labs is an ecosystem partner of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, bringing together complementary expertise to support climate-tech entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions for a more sustainable future. Through this collaboration, startups can benefit from Greentown Labs’ climate-tech ecosystem alongside the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab’s expertise and Dassault Systèmes software for 3D design, modeling, simulation, and engineering.

Together, the organizations help entrepreneurs accelerate technology development, foster collaboration, and transform disruptive ideas into solutions with positive environmental and societal impact.

Dassault Systèmes was one of Greentown's earliest partners, and it's still one of the most-requested resources for our member companies. Through our partnership, our member startups gain access to SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, which are exactly the full range design and engineering applications required to accelerate development, prototyping, and manufacturing. For an early-stage climatetech hardware company, saving these upfront costs—which they'd otherwise have to take on alone—makes a meaningful impact on their ability to develop their solution.

Impact

Prototyping hardware costs money, and a software license is usually the first expense an early-stage company can't cover. SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab remove that barrier for our members. A founder moves from a rough sketch to a working prototype faster, and the same tools scale with them as their designs get more complex. Over the years, hundreds of climatetech and hardware startups in our community have used this access to cross the valley from idea to prototype to deployment, without diverting scarce funding away from CAD licenses.
