The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab from Dassault Systèmes is an open innovation laboratory that combines collective intelligence with a cross-collaborative approach to foster entrepreneurship and drive innovation. Entrepreneurs, makers, and innovators from around the world are invited to join the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab—a community of intelligent, creative, and passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on society through the development of disruptive, groundbreaking projects. Dassault Systèmes is committed to supporting these efforts, aiming to help bring these projects to life and unlock new possibilities for a better tomorrow.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab supports projects that align with at least one of three key themes: Product, Nature and Life.
To be considered, every project must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate breakthrough or disruptive innovation in products or services, with a clear need for Dassault Systèmes solutions.
- Create a positive impact on society or the environment, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Leverage collective intelligence to drive development and collaboration.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab welcomes innovators from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
- Startups and entrepreneurs
- Academic incubators and students
- Independent professionals, such as makers and designers
- Corporate R&D and industrial innovation departments
- Research laboratories
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab operates on a global scale, welcoming and supporting projects from innovators around the world.

- Support and Mentoring: Benefit from a high-level mentoring program that complements these cutting-edge technologies, guiding you throughout the entire duration of your project.

Selected startups will receive full access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which integrates the complete suite of Dassault Systèmes' software solutions. This includes:
- CATIA and SOLIDWORKS for product creation, design, and systems engineering
- DELMIA for manufacturing and operations
- SIMULIA for advanced simulation
- BIOVIA and MEDIDATA for life sciences and clinical trial management
- EXALEAD and NETVIBES for data intelligence and information management
These tools empower startups to develop, test, and optimize their innovations within a unified digital environment.
To qualify, startups must:
- Be a legally recognized entity
- Submit a project focused on social or collective intelligence
- Address at least one of the three core themes: Product, Nature, or Life
- Propose a revolutionary and disruptive physical product
- Utilize 3D technology in the development of the product
- Demonstrate the potential to positively transform society
Yes, the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab program is fully compatible with and complementary to other incubators.
The agreement between Dassault Systèmes and the startup is flexible, with a duration ranging from 1 to 5 years.
Once selected, Dassault Systèmes and the startup will sign a dedicated project agreement outlining the terms of the collaboration.
The Intellectual Property (IP) of each party is preserved during the duration of the program (and after). This is detailed in the contract signed between both parties. However, Dassault Systèmes will ask for the rights to communicate on the experiences and projects of the startup's IP.
There is no cost. Dassault Systèmes provides its technologies and support free of charge within the scope of the contract.
No, the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab does not provide any permanent accommodation space to startups, but we have a dedicated temporary space. We can host teams for coaching and training in our Lab at the Dassault Systèmes Campus.
No, this is not a precondition of the program.
If you are a startup and meet all the qualification criteria for the program, you may apply directly by completing the form.
This may vary. Our selection committee meets every quarter, so validation will not exceed a few months.
No. To be eligible, the startup must be a legal entity.
No. If you are an independent professional without any legal form, you do not fall within the framework of the incubation program for startups. However, you may participate in some community projects that call upon independent designers, makers, inventors, etc.
