Two main roles in the Procurement Team:

Buyer:

  • Assess make or buy, identify potential suppliers, manage RFPs, analyze offers and negotiate, build contracts with the selected supplier(s)
  • Manage suppliers panel: manage/assess risk
  • Manage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and level of service
  • Bring innovative solutions
  • Benchmark and keep abreast of new solutions to be developed, relevant industry trends, capabilities of new entrants, category cost drivers and pricing vendors

Procurement Planner:

  • Manage operational purchasing processes
  • Manage vendor database
  • Ensure purchase order cycle efficiency
  • Ensure purchasing processes comply with 3DS Policy
