Jeff Ray brings more than 30 years of experience in global technology sales, management, and operations to Dassault Systèmes. As executive vice president of geographic operations, Jeff is a member of the executive committee, located in the DS corporate office in Vélizy. There he oversees management of the company’s 12 geographies to better address the specific local challenges facing the customers and partners across the world.
Previously, Jeff served as CEO of DS SolidWorks where he successfully spearheaded the brand's outstanding growth, and helped secure its position as the leader in the CAD market. Under Jeff’s tenure the Professional Channel network saw growth in the installed base from 635,000 to more than 1.4 million passionate SolidWorks users as well as record margins. Jeff joined SolidWorks in 2003 as COO, tripling revenues and establishing new subsidiaries in such high growth areas as China, India, and Brazil.
Prior to DS SolidWorks, Jeff was at business software vendor Progress Software Corporation, where he was responsible for all customer-facing field operations in dozens of countries as vice president of worldwide field operations. Previously, he served as vice president of global solutions at Compuware Corporation, where he launched the company’s integrated software/services practices and grew annual sales from zero to $100 million. Jeff began his career at IBM, where he held numerous management positions over a 17-year period. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Texas A&M University.
