Industry Business Development for Science in CPG – East Coast
Role and Responsibilities
The Industry Business Development for Science in CPG leads the identification, pursuit & execution of the Market Development strategy aligned with our strategic objectives in order to grow pipeline, win rate, and revenue in the CPG industry in North Americas
As a customer-facing leader, acts as the business catalyst who bridges Industry, Brands, GEOs, and Clients from opportunity identification to deal signature.
The Industry Business Development works closely with the Industry Business Value Consultant to co-define the strategic value storyline and align our engagements with the client’s critical business outcomes.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or scientific-related concentration
· Over 15 years of experience in the industry and at least 5 years in a business development role, supported by a strong industry network. Experience selling into the Lab, Material Science, Formulation, Modeling and Simulation in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry – Food, Cosmetics, Laundry or Packaging markets
· Strong strategic thinking, deep understanding of industry challenges and the end-product lifecycle, proven business acumen, ability to manage stakeholders and cross-functional teams under tight deadlines, excellent communication and presentation capabilities, and the capacity to assess risk and drive go/no-go decisions through formal decision gates.
· Excellent network within the industry to leverage our business
· Ability to engage at the Executive Level
Deliverables
- Accounts attack plan strategy for the assigned Market Development strategy & targeted engagements
- Revenue forecast over 5 rolling quarters
- Reference Deal Packages: success stories, KPIs, lessons learned for replication (with win loss review), customer references
- Up date in Client Engagement/sales Pipeline (CRM)

· Number of customer success stories generated

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $222300 and $261500, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
