Technology Partnership Agreement/Immersive Virtuality Network
Our eye tracking technology caters different needs at several levels in the 3Ds organisation:
Eye tracking, as a behavioural research tool, provides objective and unbiased insights into cognitive workload, and helps understand an individual's visual strategy and systematically evaluate it. The technology lets you "see your business through the eyes of your employees", providing a better understanding of their work environment and the human factors influencing them. It is particularly adapted to 3D environments where designers and engineers can perform tests and track behaviour throughout the entire product lifecycle: from early design phases to post-production audit and usage testing.
Eye-tracking, thanks to its objective and instant insights, is thus used for professional performance assessment, training and skill transfer, as well as evaluating and improving ergonomics and safety in the workplace. For instance, eye tracking is used in car manufacturing processes to train operators in complex tasks, and in the aerospace industries to capture how experts in quality control inspect a turbine blade.
User Experience (UX) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researchers and teams use eye-tracking to evaluate the usability of interfaces, dashboards and apps, both in-house and during product development. Designers and engineers also use eye-tracking in the early design phases in order to understand the perception and usages of their new products. Likewise, market research specialists will be able to track shopping experiences and new usages within life-like 3D shops.
Our Tobii Tech business unit works with our partners to integrate eye tracking into their own solutions - for example enabling the possibility to add eye control and make for a more natural and intuitive HCI. For business integration partners we offer revolutionary OEM units with embedded hardware and software components for a fast and seamless integration.
