Dassault Systèmes Hosts Its Third “Kids’ Day” Event, Inspiring Tomorrow’s Generation with the Virtual World

Dassault Systèmes is holding the third edition of its “Kids’ Day” event at its headquarters in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France on June 3, 2023 – a day of learning and fun for 5,000 attendees that enables tomorrow’s generation to discover how virtual worlds inspire the imagination and catalyze the creation of sustainable innovations.

Over 1,500 children of Dassault Systèmes’ employees or from their circle of family and friends will participate in a full program of activities dedicated to five themes: training tomorrow’s talent, imagining the industry of the future, creating a better world, developing personalized health, and designing sustainable cities. More than 70 demonstrations, workshops and experiences combining art, science and technology will take place across the corporate campus, led by 100 Dassault Systèmes employees who will share years of knowledge and know-how in 3D, virtual reality, design, simulation, engineering and more.  Activities include:

  • Workshops “Young girls in tech and science: why not you?” as well as “Where is Dr. Ampaire?  The escape game: battery edition” and “Design your phone case in 3D.”
  • Virtual reality experiences of world heritage sites, sustainable 3DEXPERIENCE Lab startup projects, and urban planning impacts on a city environment.
  • Glimpses of how the virtual world can improve health care, from simulating a clinical trial, to treating “patients” at a teddy bear hospital.
  • Hands-on creation in 3D of the vehicle of the future and the ideal kid’s room.
  • Interactive sessions involving a collective digital city design, aerodynamic simulations and a low-carbon, circular and regenerative version of the Eiffel Tower.
  • Leonardo da Vinci-themed experiences including a virtual visit of the Clos Lucé castle and the 3D models of Leonardo’s inventions, and an augmented reality photo op with the different machines.
