Position Overview:

The Executive Manager, Office of the CEO, will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Life Sciences & Healthcare and serve as a trusted partner in running the CEO's office and advancing the organization's priorities.

This is a senior executive business partner role that combines executive administrative support with strategic operations and cross-business execution. The Executive Manager will help the CEO focus on the most important decisions and relationships while ensuring that leadership priorities are translated into clear plans, coordinated across teams, and followed through to completion. The Executive Manager will successfully operate at varying altitudes, managing tactical and administrative duties, executing strategic priorities on behalf of the CEO, and supporting cross-functional initiatives with different stakeholders.

The Executive Manager will be critical in supporting the CEOs business transformation and integration of three businesses which have largely operated separately. They will be a trusted thought partner and be critical to ensuring that the CEOs objectives are continuously progressed and, ultimately, achieved. The role will work across Medidata, BIOVIA, ArisGlobal, and the broader Dassault Systèmes Life Sciences organization. It will coordinate the CEO's leadership cadence, prepare decision-ready materials, connect stakeholders, and lead selected CEO-sponsored initiatives. The successful candidate will bring exceptional judgment, organization, business acumen, communication skills, and discretion.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Manager will:

  • Manage the CEO's calendar, travel, expenses, correspondence, and meeting logistics, ensuring that time and preparation reflect the CEO's priorities.
  • Prepare the CEO for leadership, customer, partner, earnings, and Dassault Systèmes engagements by coordinating agendas, briefings, background materials, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate the operating rhythm of the CEO's office, including leadership meetings, business reviews, planning sessions, town halls, and other executive forums.
  • Work with the CEO and meeting owners to define meeting objectives, frame key questions and decisions, and ensure that participants receive focused pre-read materials.
  • Capture executive decisions and commitments, track owners and due dates, follow up on actions, and raise risks or unresolved issues to the CEO.
  • Translate CEO priorities into plans with clear milestones, owners, dependencies, and progress reviews.
  • Navigate and prioritize competing initiatives and requests from across the business for the CEO
  • Coordinate selected strategic, integration, and transformation initiatives across Medidata, BIOVIA, ArisGlobal, and Dassault Systèmes Life Sciences.
  • Lead special projects for the CEO, from analysis and recommendations through stakeholder alignment, execution planning, and closeout.
  • Work with Finance, Commercial, Product and R&D, HR, Marketing, and other teams to synthesize business, customer, talent, and market information for the CEO.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and serve as a connector across the organization.
  • Represent the CEO in selected meetings when delegated, gathering information or coordinating next steps while escalating decisions that require the CEO's direction.
  • Handle confidential business, financial, customer, talent, and integration matters with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Identify practical ways to improve the preparation, information flow, and follow-through of the CEO's office and leadership team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Typically 7 or more years of relevant experience in senior executive support, executive business partnership, business operations, strategy, transformation, or chief of staff work.
  • Significant experience supporting a CEO, C-suite executive, or senior leadership team in a complex organization.
  • A track record of managing executive-level responsibilities while also driving projects or business priorities beyond administrative support.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to understand operating information, assess trade-offs, and develop clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated program and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, and drive follow-through without relying on formal authority.
  • Exceptional executive writing and communication skills, including experience preparing presentations, briefings, and leadership communications.
  • Excellent judgment, organization, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs and manage changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build trust and work effectively with senior leaders across functions, cultures, and time zones
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, enterprise software, or a global technology organization is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly across time zones and travel periodically as business needs require.
  • Proficiency in French is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $118,500-$158,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata believes that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most and provides benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, family leave, flexible paid time off; and 10 paid holidays per year.

Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $118500 and $158000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
