Senior Financial Analyst
Role Description & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the strategic and financial analysis of SolidWorks Corporation and the Customer Role Experience Engagement. This person will be the primary support for sales and other revenue related analytics and will work with senior management to develop financial models and metrics that will support business decision making.
As a key member of the FP&A team, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Partner with senior leadership to translate operating results into actionable business intelligence
- Build and maintain complex revenue models to provide accurate forecasts across both short and long-term corporate planning horizons
- Collaborate with Sales team daily on business activities ranging from results tracking, forecasting, promotions, analysis of large or complex deals, etc.
- Define and track key SaaS and business metrics (ARR, Churn, Net Revenue Retention, Productivity Per Salesperson) to monitor worldwide health and operational efficiency
- Transform manual business requirements into automated, scalable analyses using SQL and other advanced BI tools
- Develop polished and insightful content to support various executive business reviews
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects that require rapid data synthesis and executive-level summaries
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CFA preferred
- Experience: 6–10 years of progressive experience in a Finance Business Partner or FP&A role, ideally within the SaaS or Technology sector
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in SQL and Financial Modeling. Experience with TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics) or similar EPM tools is highly preferred
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to anticipate the downstream operational and financial impacts of business decisions
- Strong Synthesizer: Exceptional ability to distill key insights from disparate, messy data sources and present them clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Influence & Negotiation: Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence outcomes at the executive level
- Curiosity: A naturally inquisitive mindset with a "bias for action" when identifying process improvements

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $125000 and $160000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
