What will your role be?  

As the Role Portfolio Engineer you will have one mission: develop and maintain the vision for the product and communicate that vision to the team. You strive to constantly communicate to both stakeholders and your teams, as well as owning their products from conception through to delivery and constant iteration.  

What you will be doing:

• Be the sole owner or driver of the product
• Provide clear product vision
• Prioritize the team backlog
• Make product decisions during the development cycle
• Meet and talk with SMEs and observe, learn about, contact, and analyze customers/end users to better help understand the product, groom user stories, and ultimately build what the client really wants
• Facilitate Grooming meetings with development team(s) to groom out stories related to completing business requirements.
• Specify spec/acceptance criteria for each business requirement being completed by teams.
• Write new user stories and split user stories that are too large
• Answer team questions about the product
• Communicate about the product to management and stakeholders
• Release plan/Roadmap; working with Product Management to create a long term roadmap for your team as well as facilitate team commitment meetings during release kick offs to have teams commit to work that will be done each release cycle.
• Coordinate with the copy/documentation team to ensure all feature documentation is released with the product
• Coordinate with the UX team on conducting usability tests on their product(s)
