Gregory Abate has served as General Secretary and is a member of the Executive Committee since 2024, after joining Dassault Systèmes in 2023 as Deputy General Secretary.

In this strategic role, Gregory integrates corporate governance and administration within the company’s value creation process at a time when sustainability, sovereignty and trust are key differentiators.

Grégory oversees a broad portfolio of responsibilities including governance, public affairs, internal audit and control. He ensures that Dassault Systèmes not only complies with global regulatory and ethical standards but also anticipates them. Hence, his mission is to secure business resilience, mitigate risks and unlock new avenues for sustainable growth.

Liaising between Dassault Systèmes’ Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, Gregory drives governance frameworks aligned with the company’s long-term strategic vision. His work supports Dassault Systèmes’ ambition to empower customers to leverage virtual worlds for real life to the benefit of consumers, patients and citizens.

Before joining Dassault Systèmes, Grégory held senior roles in the French government, serving in both the President’s and Prime Minister’s offices. He also brings to the company extensive experience acquired at the Ministry of Finance, where he was instrumental in designing and implementing major economic and tax reforms, among others. Prior to that, Grégory worked at the European Commission on competition issues in the energy and environmental sectors.

Grégory is a graduate of École des Mines engineering school, Sciences-Po Paris and École Nationale d'Administration, the leading school for French senior civil servants. He also holds a master’s in business law from Sorbonne University and was a lawyer at the Paris bar.
