Current options are limited: affordable but highly painful blood glucose monitoring tools, or costly and often stigmatizing continuous glucose monitoring devices—neither solution is ideal. Moreover, these devices provide only a single type of data, tracking glucose variation without capturing the underlying causes of changes.

PKvitality’s K’Watch is a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system embedded in a smartwatch. It consists of two components: K’apsul, a weekly skin-adhered patch with microneedles coated in biochemicals, and the watch itself. The patch captures glucose levels from interstitial fluid, while the watch interprets the signals, stores and displays the data, and synchronizes it with the cloud via an app. K’Watch’s unique architecture redefines user experience and enhances accuracy:

• Painless: Microneedles less than 1 mm long do not reach pain nerves, combined with a soft patch for maximum comfort.
• Convenient: Glucose readings are available instantly, at a glance.
• Discreet: The CGM patch is hidden beneath the watch, while alerts for hypo- and hyperglycemia are delivered through subtle vibrations.

K’Watch also introduces several revolutions:

• Accuracy revolution: Powered by multiple patented innovations.
• Cost revolution: The number of consumable parts is reduced fivefold compared to traditional CGM systems, thanks to the absence of an applicator and the transfer of electronic components from the patch to the watch.
• Service revolution: Embedded sensors (accelerometer, heart rate, etc.), combined with glucose data and AI in the cloud, give patients deeper insights and a better understanding of their condition.
