Chris Wohlever, Development Director Mechanics, Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA
Chris Wohlever

Chris Wohlever is the Development Director for Mechanics for Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit. His team is responsible for the nonlinear analysis procedures in Abaqus, element technology, and fracture & failure. He has 25 year of experience in numerical simulation and was hired 15 years ago by David Hibbitt as a developer for Abaqus/Standard. He graduated with a PhD in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics from Cornell University.

John Draper, R&D, fe-safe Director
John Draper

John Draper began his work as a fatigue design specialist in the aerospace industry. From there, he joined the British Rail Research Division managing projects involving fatigue research, fatigue testing and strain-gauge based fatigue failure investigation. In 1987 he formed the company which became Safe Technology Limited.

He was a founding member of the UK Ground Vehicle Instrumentation Group and a past Chairman. He is a founding member of the Engineering Integrity Society and served as its Chairman from 1990 until 2005. He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
John has been involved in the development and application of fatigue and durability analysis software for many years in a wide range of industries. He has acted as a consultant to companies in many industries including automotive, ground vehicle, aerospace, medical equipment and power generation.

David Kokan, R&D, Isight Development Senior Manager, Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA
David Kokan

David Kokan is currently the SIMULIA Isight development manager within the R&D organization at Dassault Systems.  He has 18 years of development and customer facing experience in process integration and design optimization. David and his team have developed many of the Isight components that are used to interact with third party simulation software.  He is the author of the popular Pointer optimization technique and has worked on several customer projects with an emphasis of optimization of structures and materials in multidiscipline aerospace applications.  David earned his doctorate in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech.

Michael Werner, SIMULIA Optimization Portfolio Technical Specialist, Dassault Systèmes
Michael Werner

Michael Werner is part of the SIMULIA Optimization Strategy Team for technical marketing of Tosca optimization technology. He joined FE-DESIGN -The optimization company in 2011 after studying ‘Computational Engineering’ in Darmstadt/Germany and Stockholm/Sweden. Michael has been active in R&D, engineering services and technical marketing.

Gergana Dimitrova, SIMULIA Optimization Portfolio Technical Specialist, Dassault Systèmes
Gergana Dimitrova

Gergana Dimitrova studied Applied Mathematics at Sofia University in Bulgaria and Computational Science in Engineering at TU Braunschweig in Germany. She worked in the field of Crash&Safety simulations before joining FE-DESIGN in 2011. Currently she is part of the SIMULIA Optimization Strategy Team, supporting the Global Optimization Initiative with focus on technical marketing.
