Two-Factor Authentication - 2FA - on DSx.Client starting July 8th

This new authentication process will impact all DSx.Client Care & Order Customers and Partners’ users.

As part of our commitment to enhance the security of your account & protect your data, we require users to apply Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for 3DS applications, and especially DSx.Client Care & Order. 2FA is a standard that adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second verification step when signing into your account.

Why it's important?

  • Enhanced Security
    • Protects against stolen credentials: Even if a user's password is compromised, 2FA requires a second form of verification (e.g., SMS code, authenticator app).
    • Mitigates phishing and brute-force attacks: Passwords alone can be guessed or phished. 2FA adds an extra layer that’s much harder to bypass.
  • Protection of Sensitive Intellectual Property
    • Dassault Systèmes applications often manage confidential design data, engineering models, and proprietary processes. Unauthorized access could result in data leaks or intellectual property theft.
    • 2FA ensures only authorized users can access these mission-critical assets.
    • it will be mandatory by July 8th in order to get DSx.Client Care & Order access, so do not wait.

What is the Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource such as an application, online account, or a VPN

How will this affect you?

We require you to activate 2FA directly in your 3DEXPERIENCE ID account: You need to click on “My Profile” in order to activate it and follow steps. Once enabled, you will have to enter 2FA code when connecting. We support Mobile SMS or email ID-based One-Time Password (OTP). When entering 2FA code, you can choose option “Trust this computer” before validating. This action allows to register your account and 2FA code will not be asked for any future connections. With this action you have the capability to “trust” your machine.

Where can I get additional information or help?

We strongly recommends that you activate Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for your 3DEXPERIENCE ID, now. If you need additional assistance, you can contact, you can contact our Support Centers, raise an NTSR.

Since May 20th, a banner within DSx.Client Care & Order has been added to remind you to activate 2FA with direct link to "My Profile" page for 2FA activation. After July 8th, a Customer/Partner will not be able to access DSx.Client Order if 2FA is not activated in his 3DEXPERIENCE account.

The following error message will be displayed with information on 2FA activation: 

"You are not allowed to access to DSx.Client Care & Order. 

If your account is already verified, you need to activate 2FA in your 3DEXPERIENCE ID account <link to process will be communicated later>

Once 2FA is activated in your account, you will be able to access DSx.Client Care & Order

If your account is not verified, please check your email and follow the instruction to verify it. If you did not receive an email or if it is expired, you can resend one <link to process will be communicated later>"
