Background

BIOVIA CISPro may not display all locations for some customers when creating multiple locations in BIOVIA Foundation with matching location and parent location names. This issue is only relevant for some customers integrating BIOVIA CISPro with BIOVIA Foundation on a 2018 or 2019 based release.

Example Scenario: An administrator creates two “Cabinet 1” locations within a similar “Room 1” parent location in BIOVIA Foundation. The first is in Building 1 (Building 1 > Room 1 > Cabinet 1) and the second under Building 2 (Building 2 > Room 1 > Cabinet 1). In this scenario, BIOVIA CISPro may only display the “Building 2 > Room 1 > Cabinet 1” location.

Solution

Customers experiencing this merged location display issue should contact BIOVIA Support for additional information.

The BIOVIA Foundation 2020 and BIOVIA CISPro 2020 releases prevent this issue for new locations created with matching location name and parent location names.
