Background

When creating new records or editing existing records that require approvals, the requested change can be deleted from CISPro if the user's session times out and the PurgeSessionData scheduled rule runs.

Resolution

This issue has been logged as CIS-73718 and is resolved in the 2021 SP2 release of BIOVIA CISPro. To prevent any potential data loss, all customers using the new approvals features in CISPro in a pre-2021 SP2 release, are advised to disable the PurgeSessionData scheduled rule.

Please note that disabling the PurgeSessionData scheduled rule will not negatively impact the system, but will cause any session data left over from expired sessions to build up over time. To prevent/mitigate this, users should log out of CISPro after use using the Logout button (instead of closing the browser leaving the session to expire).
