Description
We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Biological Registration 2022 SP1 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:
Enhancements
This release of BIOVIA Biological Registration includes the following enhancements.
User Story | Description |
REG-22272 | Single record registration now supports nucleotide and amino acid sequences up to 100,000 characters, including both circular and linear plasmids. Registration using the RESTful API also supports sequences up to 100,000 characters. However, File Registration remains restricted by the XSLX limitation of 32,000 characters for any field. |
REG-22281 | When you enter a value in a Plasmid Lot ID attribute, you can now specify the full ID of the related lot before selecting the plasmid's ORF. A dialog no longer requests selection of the ORF as soon as you enter the first character in the Plasmid Lot ID field. Instead, you can enter the full value and then click the new ORF button to choose the open reading frame you require. |
REG-22337 | Registration now supports Oracle Exadata running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x under Oracle 19.7.0.0. |
REG-22378 | The Configuration Guide now includes troubleshooting information about exporting and importing metadata between systems. Use the Upgrade Toolkit and Metadata Management Guide to enable metadata transfer from one system to another. |
Fixed Defects
This release of BIOVIA Biological Registration includes the following fixed defects.
Defect | Description |
REG-22320 | Invalid format accession numbers for nucleotide and amino acid sequences are now handled by the registration rules in most cases. Therefore, sequences with problematic accession numbers are now added to the BLAST database and available for searching. If the instance type, class, or lot ID component of an accession number is not defined, it cannot be processed and an error message reports the accession number component causing the problem. In this case, contact Dassault Systèmes Customer Support for assistance. |
REG-22251 | You can now use the CTRL+V keyboard shortcut to paste content in Registration Form tables storing multiple values for equivalent fields. |
REG-22252 | The BLAST post registration rules and BLAST database creation protocols now support all custom attributes with sequence data types. Therefore, the BLAST database indexes data from all sequence attributes and searches can identify matches stored in any sequence attribute. |
