Description

If multiple or single cardinality security was selected during installation and is being used in BIOVIA Chemical or Biological Registration, then searching the registration data might result in incorrect records being returned.  Searching via BIOVIA Chemical or Biological Registration’s Search and Browse or from BIOVIA Insight, might not return records associated with a project(s) the user should be able to see. In some cases the opposite can occur, where a user might see records with project(s) they should not have access to see.
This issue only affects particular versions of BIOVIA Registration, and only if an upgrade was performed and "failed" with a message similar to, "A Biological Registration 2022 database already exists." or "A Chemical Registration 2022 database already exists."
The issue has not been seen when viewing, registering, or editing concepts or lots in BIOVIA Registration itself. The issue has only been observed when viewing data in Search and Browse or Insight. This issue also does not occur for brand new 2021 or 2022 installations of BIOVIA Registration, where an upgrade has not been performed.

Resolution    

This is a known issue in BIOVIA Chemical Registration and Biological Registration 2022. This issue might also affect BIOVIA Chemical Registration and Biological Registration upgraded to version 2021.
We are investigating this issue and will update this technical note when we have more information.
