Cloud instance of Pipette Sketcher shutting down

Program

All supported versions of BIOVIA CISPro with an OnPremise license using the ScienceCloud-hosted instance of Pipette Sketcher.

Background

The ScienceCloud-hosted instance of Pipette Sketcher will shut down on 15 September 2022. OnPremise customers who are using this cloud-hosted instance will need to install Pipette Sketcher locally and reconfigure CISPro to use that installation instead. If you are not using the Direct Structure Search functionality in CISPro, you can ignore this message.

To identify if this issue affects you, determine whether you are using the ScienceCloud-hosted instance by checking CISPro’s configuration:

Login to the CISPro application as an Administrative user.
Select Admin > Config Vars to open the configuration variables page.
Check the value of the “usesketcher” item. If this functionality is enabled (set to 1), continue to the next step.
Launch the CswConfigUX.exe application located in the [CISPro Install Directory]\executables folder.
On the Setup Variables tab, check the value of the “SketcherURL” item. If the value of this variable is set to https://sketch.sciencecloud-services.com, then you need to take action to resolve this issue.

Resolution

Launch the CswConfigUX.exe application located in the [CISPro Install Directory]\executables folder.
On the Setup Variables tab, enter your Pipeline Pilot Server URL for the “SketcherURL” item.
a. For example, https://pipelinepilot.local:9943.
Save the changes by clicking on another row or using the Save Settings button.

Note: Pipette Sketcher is available as part of BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot. If you do not have an installation of BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot, please contact Support for further assistance.
