Description

We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Notebook 2021 HF1 that includes the following fixed issues:

CELN-11910– The text selection in the Body Text section now works as expected. Due to a regression in Notebook 2021 the selection was lost when the cursor was moved over another section, making text formatting difficult.

CELN-11913– The Undo/Back command used during Dictation works without losing focus on the first text entered.

CELN-11911– Data Archive now works in an environment where Notebook is connected to Foundation Hub. In earlier releases, experiment submission was blocked by a Data Archive section.

CELN-11912– The TLS 1.2 security protocol is now explicitly enabled in NotebookLoginService. Previously, depending on the configuration of the runtime .NET Framework version, it was not always enabled. Using TLS 1.2 is a requirement for Notebook integration with BIOVIA Foundation Hub 2021

Resolution

BIOVIA Notebook 2021 HF1 was released in February 2021 and will be available for download at https://software.3ds.com/ Under BIOVIA products, Product line: ‘Lab, Scientific Content Solutions’, Release: 2021 Level: ‘BIOVIA 2021 Golden’, Fixes for this level ‘BIOVIA 2021 HF2’.
