Description

This Technical Note is to inform you regarding an issue with newly created units within a parameter template that are then migrated to other environments.

If a unit is created and included in a parameter template, and that parameter is included in a recipe, that unit will function as expected.  But if that activity is then migrated to another environment, the new unit will not be reliably available until the Compose service is restarted in the new environment.  In the future, when Compose is incorporated into Foundation, this issue will become irrelevant. In the interim, it is necessary to restart the Compose service whenever migrating activities into environments that contain custom units that are used by the new activity.
