Dear BIOVIA Isentris customer,

Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA has been busy over the past few years creating our full SAAS Cloud offering solutions to help you manage your chemical and biological information. This cloud offering includes a unified portfolio for materials management, experiment planning and IP capture, decision support, and virtual design.

Given our capacity to offer a robust portfolio of modern applications in a SAAS cloud environment to address today's scientific informatics needs, we have decided to retire the BIOVIA Isentris information management framework for scientific data. We appreciate the longstanding investments you have made with BIOVIA Isentris, recognizing its past effectiveness in meeting your needs. We are also confident that our new solutions can serve you even more effectively, providing enhanced capabilities to support your ongoing research needs.

Within our SAAS Cloud offering, the following products are intended to replace BIOVIA Isentris:

Scientific Notebook is a new cloud-native ELN designed to prioritize scientists’ needs and leverage data like never before.
Insight for Research lets you gather the data you need, visualize and collaborate with others. It allows individuals and teams to make informed decisions to accelerate the research process.
Scientific Search Intelligence (SSI) an intuitive cloud based search and filter solution to search and browse your captured scientific data to take informed actions. It uses the same chemistry search capabilities as Isentris and is built on BIOVIA Chemistry and a semantic graph index built on Direct.
Pipette Sketcher is a modern lightweight sketcher for small molecules, reactions and includes ability to sketch chemically modified biopolymers using a HELM monomer editor.
Materials Management is a unified system for capturing proprietary and commercially sourced materials to enable you to rapidly define, identify, and locate any chemical or biological material.

You can also continue to use the following:

Insight for Excel (which is the core engine of Isentris for Excel) is an add-in to Microsoft Excel^© spreadsheets providing scientific data analysis capabilities within the familiar Excel environment. Through Insight for Excel, you can calculate molecular properties, perform R-group and combinatorial analysis. Built on Pipeline Pilot, it also offers the ability to extend its capabilities when working with scientific data.
Direct is the chemistry data cartridge compatible with Isentris and Insight and many BIOVIA applications. It is the foundation of the Cheminformatics suite (along with Draw and Pipeline Pilot Chemistry, which all use the same Chemical Representation). Direct enables researchers to register, search and retrieve molecules and reactions in a fully integrated, relational Oracle^©environment.
Draw enables scientists to draw and edit complex molecules, chemically modified biopolymers and chemical reactions with ease, for registration and for facilitating the collaborative searching, viewing, communicating and archiving of scientific information. Which includes the ability to launch HELM editors if you choose to work with HELM for you chemically modified biopolymers and large molecules.
With the Pipeline Pilot Chemistry Collection you can extend BIOVIA Draw and BIOVIA Insight for Excel
Pipeline Pilot Chemistry SDK enable developers to access BIOVIA’s chemistry capabilities without the need for a Pipeline Server. It supersedes Cheshire’s capabilities, allowing you to create custom applications using Python, Java or .Net programming languages.

As we have previously indicated, we understand that many customers have a large investment in their BIOVIA Isentris applications and infrastructure. To ensure you have time to migrate to the current suite of products, we will be phasing out support as follows:

Legacy Support, as described below, is from December 2023 to December 2026 and includes:

Responses to questions, troubleshooting and providing workarounds for issues reported through our 3DSupport App.
Access to previously released Hotfixes and Service Packs on our Dassault Download Platform.
Access to our Knowledge Base, FAQ and Technical Notes, published on our Dassault Support Homepage.
No upgrades or changes to the third-party platform matrix for BIOVIA Isentris will be considered (i.e., the support matrix will remain as is for the *major* release of BIOVIA Isentris 2020 available on November 2019).
BIOVIA will not consider new fixes, patches and special releases during this phase.
In some cases, BIOVIA may choose to provide database releases in a format compatible with the product. As a general rule, however, database releases are not available for products in Legacy Support phase.

Your BIOVIA account manager will arrange a call to explore migration options with you. We strongly recommend initiating your migration planning at the earliest to ensure ample time for the seamless adoption of the most suitable new solution. Your account manager is well equipped to guide you through a comprehensive understanding of the value that these innovative products can offer. Additionally, our Professional Services organization is available to assist in comprehending and outlining projects for optimizing the utilization of the new products in your environment. This encompasses a fixed-price assessment package designed to swiftly formulate a plan aligned with your business priorities for managing the migration process effectively.
