Description

BIOVIA Discovery Studio and Materials Studio are enabled by a FLEXlm license file for a specified license server. BIOVIA would like to confirm that virtual machines are not supported as license servers for these FLEXlm license files. The license file must be generated for a physical machine. The qualities to consider when selecting a license server machine are:

· A physical machine with a static, reserved IP address and unique MAC address

· Well connected – easily accessible via TCP network connection by all the machines running licensed software

· Recognized by the same hostname from the machines on the network

· Reliable – seldom goes down or needs to be rebooted
