Description

We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Foundation 2021 Hot Fix 1, which includes the following:

Enhancements

DAT-20196 - Child Activities now support "Reopen for Edit" and manually setting version number.

SEC-6863 - Adding the ability to import an external Inventory System material without specifying the Lot into your lab materials list.

DAT-18281 - Collaborative Space now supports setting a default for "Use Latest Activity" flag.

DAT-19035 - Cloned life cycle policies are now upgraded when life cycle actions are added to or removed from the default life cycle policy. Previously only the default life cycle policy actions were updated.

SEC-6726 - The Hub material proxy now supports the CISPro pending inventory features for lots and containers.

SEC-6749 - Create Sample dialog and Edit Sample dialog now supports scanning a Container or Sample into the sample source field.

SEC-6750 - Collect Sample dialog now supports scanning a Container or a Sample into the sample source field.

SEC-6759 - The Hub material proxy has been updated with the latest CISPro API changes.

SEC-6765 - The Foundation SSO installer now contains a roll up of all component and protocol fixes since the last major or service pack release.

SEC-6806 - A configuration link is now displayed on the equipment page when an integration gateway is configured for that system.

Fixed Defects

DAT-20287 - It is now possible to set the time when entering a date for an extended property. The time must be entered in UTC. To ensure the date is presented as the same date in any time zone, enter the time as 12:00 PM UTC.

DAT-20345 - The "Pool Sample" action now supports all units that use an "Each" unit type.

DAT-20489 - Signature policies for Task Plan's Edit Task dialog box are now triggered if a task's "Use Latest Activity" setting is True, if the setting is changed from True to False OR from False to True. No signature policy is triggered when "Use Latest Activity" is false.

DAT-20551 - It is no longer possible to delete the life cycle policy assignment while editing equipment, equipment types, and task plans. Life cycle policy is now a required field for these items.

DAT-20592 - Fixed an issue that prevented Configuration Manager from migrating parameter templates.

DAT-20665 - The Edit Task dialog box now correctly allows setting planned values for tasks that are in their Draft, Submitted, and Assigned lifecycle states.

DAT-20715 - The My Task Plans widget now supports filtering by the Owner column.

DAT-20726 - Template Method author can set planned values in Child Activities regardless of the parameter type.

SEC-6816 - Fixed an issue that caused the Chromeleon Add-In to time out when importing samples from a system that has millions of samples.

DAT-17949 - Changes to the Equipment Status field are now recorded in audit history and shown in the history viewer.

DAT-19536 - Improved the error message that is presented when the owner of an item is prohibited from signing for a change. The error message is now: The lifecycle signature could not be validated. The owner is not allowed to sign.

DAT-20338 - Improved the error message displayed when a unique constraint violation occurs. To make troubleshooting easier, the error message now provides the name of the constraint.

DAT-20339 - Improved the error message returned by the import endpoint when a unique constraint violation occurs. To make troubleshooting easier, the error message now provides the name of the file in which the error occurred.

DAT-20344 - An understandable error message now displays when collecting a master sample if its child samples are missing amounts.

DAT-20461 - Task Planner's Edit Task function now prevents editing of a task's planned values if the task is in its In Progress lifecycle state.

DAT-20490 - The Foundation/Administration/Logon permission is now required to see the link to Admin & Settings on the Hub side bar.

DAT-20550 - Task Plan's Task Split dialog now display an message if a user removes the 'Number of Splits' value.

DAT-20577 - Improved the scalability of creating materials in systems with millions of materials.

DAT-20589 - Improved scalability of task creation on systems under heavy load.

DAT-20610 - Fixed an issue that caused the activities list to display slowly when users create a new task from an activity, or add an activity to an activity plan.

DAT-20641 - If a signature policy is applied to the Edit Task function, the policy is now correctly displayed if the 'Use Latest Activity' check box is enabled for a second time.

DAT-20708 - The Add Activity Plan dialog box now correctly displays the vocabulary entries for 'Type' and 'Phase.'

SEC-6764 - Changed the logging level of the equipment.MeasurementService messages from WARN to TRACE. These messages can quickly fill the hub log file and are needed only when troubleshooting a specific instrument parser problem.

SEC-6857 - Fixed a problem in the measurement viewer that caused long text fields to overwrite other fields in the UI.

SEC-6860 - The Foundation/Administrators group is now assigned the System Administrator role. This enables members of the group to administer the integration gateway in deployments that use the gateway.

SEC-6890 - Fixed an issue that affected barcode label printing when the Label to ZPL II component is used.

SEC-6899 - The Measurement Viewer now displays a 'Loading...' message until it finishes loading data.

SEC-6918 - Inventory System mappings for a registered CISPro installation have been updated to reflect new features in CISPro 2021.

SEC-6953 - The Import Materials dialog box, which is available from Task Plan's Materials Tab, can now search for Task Plan Names that contain special characters.

DAT-20667 - An unnecessary log message is no longer written every time a sample is created.

SEC-6889 - When the registered CISPro application is upgraded, the Inventory System entry associated with it now reflects the newer version's software details.
