Description
This Technical Note is to inform you about an issue that was found with Signature Policies when upgrading to Compose and Capture 2021 SP1, or a newer software version, from a pre-2021 SP1 software version of Compose and Capture.
Due to updates to several Out of the Box (OOTB) Signature Policy descriptions in Compose and Capture 2021 SP1, we have found that if any of these Signature Policies were customized or edited from the OOTB configuration, these configurations will revert back to the original OOTB settings after upgrading to Compose and Capture 2021 SP1 or a newer version.
This issue only affects Signature Policies that were modified from the OOTB version AND whose OOTB Signature Policy descriptions were updated in 2021 SP1. Settings modified by the upgrade process may include any of a Signature Policy’s properties displayed in Foundation Admin & Settings.
Recovery
1. After any upgrade to Compose and Capture 2021 SP1 (or a newer version),
a. Review the Signature Policy Audit History (located in Foundation Hub in Admin and Settings >> Signature Policies >> History) for any changes to the Signature Policies on the date of upgrade.
b. The changes are noted in the Signature Policy Audit History in the “Changed From” and “Changed To” columns.
c. Adjust the configurations as needed to return them to their pre-upgrade state.
NOTE: If the upgrade has already been performed before release of this Technical Note, this procedure should still be reviewed/performed.
