Description

We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2021 Golden.

Enhancements

This release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel includes the following enhancements:

ESDX-1541 - RGroup analysis works on one or two uniquely attached R atoms.

ESDX-5313 - In the Server Login dialog, long server names are now scroll-able.

ESDX-4757 - When data is exported in XD file format, the default data format for chemistry is CTAB. This is a change from previous version where export format was Chimestring. To retain support for exporting as Chimestring an admin modifiable parameter has been added to settings file.

ESDX-5207 - Insight for Excel chemistry depiction can be synced with Draw settings. Draw settings xml can be read into Insight for Excel and common settings get updated to match Draw settings.

ESDX-5270 - In the R-Group analysis dialog a checkbox has been added. If it is checked, post R-Group analysis, the result is filtered. This is the default behaviour. If unchecked, the result is not filtered and non matching cells, that may be empty in the result, are not hidden.

ESDX-5452 - A checkbox option has been added to Export Dialog box to exclude or include empty cells while exporting data to SD files.

ESDX-5459 - With ShowOnClick toggle button pressed, Chemistry structure can be displayed in a separate window when user clicks on a chemistry cell. Even with Display on Demand off this feature can be used to quickly see a structure in a slightly bigger screen.

ESDX-5549 - Non-default values in Settings are marked in bold for easy identification. Also, data from Draw settings that modify default values are also marked in bold.

ESDX-5571 - Reactions that have reagents can now be displayed in Insight for Excel. Users can control showing or hiding of reagent structures, reagent name and reagent name from settings.

Fixed Defects

This release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel includes the following fixed defects:

ESDX-5483 - When exporting chemistry columns, an additional empty column was getting exported. This behaviour was visible if the chemistry column was not the first column.

ESDX-5615 - For complex CIP calculation, the application times out faster and gives the user the option to recalculate with an extended timeout.

ESDX-2317 - License installation takes care of non-ASCII characters in the license installation path. A valid license can now be installed even if the user has non-ASCII characters in their username.

ESDX-5162 - Molecules that contain charges on atoms were not clearly showing the charges. With this bug fix, such molecules (like ferrocene) clearly depict the charge.

ESDX-5426 - While transferring data to Insight from Insight for Excel, two additional columns viz. ppdcrid and ROWID were getting added. This issue has been addressed.

ESDX-5430 - When transferring data to Insight from Insight for Excel, string data that is a valid chemistry string may be rendered as a structure image.

ESDX-4789 - Keyboard shortcuts added for Combichem (Analyze and Enumerate).

ESDX-5428 - Insight for Excel column headers with few special characters like '@' or <blank> when transferred were not showing up properly in Insight application. This has been addressed.
