We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Experiment 2020 SP2.

Enhancements

This release of BIOVIA Experiment includes the following enhancements:

EKB-11743 - When the user selects "Log out" in Google Chrome version 80 or above, they are now correctly logged out. Previously, they remained logged in, unless a browser setting was changed on each client computer. This fix has been implemented by a modification to the way in which BIOVIA Experiment handles cookies.

Fixed Defects

This release of BIOVIA Experiment includes the following fixed defects:

EKB-11473 - In the Sample Report within an experiment, the Printable Sample Report - PDF link works in an environment that uses HTTPS, provided that Pipeline Pilot Server's certificate includes all variants of the server's name that are used by HTTPS (such as the fully qualified domain name). This requirement was previously undocumented. A new section has been added to the Installation and Configuration Guide: Setting Up BIOVIA Experiment to Run over HTTPS > Configuring Pipeline Pilot Server for HTTPS > "Generating the Pipeline Pilot Server Certificate".

EKB-11508 - The Experiment REST API now supports parallel execution of protocols. In previous versions, it was designed to work for sequential execution only.

EKB-11404 - Users of BIOVIA Experiment can now export cuttings to Notebook experiments for which they are collaborators. Previously, they could only export cuttings to Notebook experiments for which they were authors. Experiments for which they were collaborators were not included in the list of Notebook documents in the Cuttings tool.

EKB-11456 - In the Cuttings Manager, users can export cuttings to PDF files, provided that Pipeline Pilot Server's certificate includes all variants of the server's name that are used by HTTPS (such as the fully qualified domain name). This requirement was previously undocumented. A new section has been added to the Installation and Configuration Guide: Setting Up BIOVIA Experiment to Run over HTTPS > Configuring Pipeline Pilot Server for HTTPS > "Generating the Pipeline Pilot Server Certificate".

EKB-11706 - The Cutting Wizard now correctly shows a form, "Export EKB Cuttings to BIOVIA Notebook". Previously, it incorrectly showed paged table data.

EKB-11718 - The Complete Experiment Report PDF view now shows Continuous Samples data, like the HTML view.

EKB-11498 - When a method has only binary parameters, clicking Save This Task... in the Progress Task window, followed by Save and Advance, now works correctly.
