We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about a planned release of BIOVIA Direct 2026 HF1.

Description

On 28 November 2025, BIOVIA released BIOVIA Direct version 2026. As listed in the Product Release Document for Direct 2026, this version includes 11 new scientific calculators (DIR-4512 to DIR-4522) as well as changes and improvements to existing functions (DIR-4272 and DIR-4407). The documentation on these enhancements is not yet complete in the original Direct 2026 release.

Additionally, in the original Direct 2026 release, substructure searches with molecules with enhanced axial stereochemistry might not find all matches unless the query structure is provided as a binary chemistry object (DIR-4559).

Resolution                                                                    

To fix the issues listed in the Description section above, BIOVIA will release the hotfix BIOVIA Direct 2026 HF1.  BIOVIA strongly recommends skipping the installation of BIOVIA Direct 2026 and installing version 2026 HF1 instead. The hotfix is scheduled for end of January 2026.
