T26-2025 - BIOVIA Notebook: Incorrect dates in submission comment

Date and time stamps for submission comments shown in the submission workflow view of experiments are wrong for users in time zones with negative UTC offset.

Program

BIOVIA Notebook 2024 SP1 and 2025

Operating System

Microsoft Windows Server (64 bit) 2016, 2019 and 2022

Background

An issue has been found, where the date and time stamps for submission comments shown in the submission workflow view of experiments are wrong. This applies to the submission comments only. The time stamps for signing and co-signing in the submitted PDF of the experiment are correct. The error happens when the user that creates the submission comment is in a time zone with negative UTC offset.

The problem is fixed in Notebook 2025 SP1. However, existing document comment records with wrong timestamp will not be corrected when upgrading.

Solution

Users are advised to look at the signing and co-signing dates in the Submission History view of an experiment, or to look at the submitted PDF to see the correct dates and times.
