Description

Changes made to the Hub configuration page might revert configurations that have been manually added to the app-config.groovy file.

Workaround

When you have done manual configurations to the app-config.groovy file such as the one described in  Technote T64-2022 (https://www.3ds.com/support/news/single/t64-2022-bioviaR-foundation-hub-2022-sp1-task-action-buttons-takes-time-to-load-in-task-plan-section), then be aware that configurations done on the Hub configuration page might revert the previous manual configurations done directly to app-config.groovy. To prevent this from happening, BIOVIA suggests to follow these steps:

1. Make a backup of app-config.groovy
2. Make the planned change trough the Hub configuration page and save the new configuration
3. Check the app-config.groovy file on the server to see if the manual chnages persisted.
   1. If the manual changes persisted, restart the Foundation  Hub service to apply the changes done via Hub configurations page.
   2. If the manual changes did not persist, copy the manual changes from the backup file back to app-config-groovy. Restart the Foundation  Hub service to apply the changes done via Hub configurations page and the restored manual configuration from the backup file.
