We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Discovery Studio 2025 SP1 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:
Enhancements
This release of BIOVIA Discovery Studio includes the following enhancements.

Fixed Defects
This release of BIOVIA Discovery Studio includes the following fixed defects.

DSC-39226 | When using the Solvate with Explicit Membrane protocol, setting Equilibration to "True" no longer causes the protocol to fail. |
DSC-38968 | The scripting progress bar now persists when running scripts from the Script window. |
DSC-39000 | The System Requirements document is updated to encourage users to install the client on a machine that uses an English language locale. |
DSC-39013 | When using the Dynamics (Production) protocol with a system typed with charmm36 and with the Platform parameter set to OpenMM GPU, the protocol no longer fails on an NVIDIA RTX A6000 GPU. |
DSC-39176 | A message is no longer displayed during installation about a missing libnvrtc-builtins.so library file. |
DSC-39190 | The creation of the unfolded states in the Calculate Mutation Energy (Stability) protocol is improved to minimize the differences in energy values when running on different operating systems. |
DSC-39193 | The Write mmCIF Files (Prototype) component now correctly writes out structures that have an empty chain name, and those that contain residue insertion codes. In addition, the mmCIF format importer now creates bonds defined as 'metalc' as dative, which corrects an issue in the Prepare Proteins protocol. |
DSC-39392 | The InsertFromUrl Perl API component now successfully retrieves files from the RCSB PDB website. |
DSC-39534 | The Measure Trajectory Features protocol no longer fails when measuring the RMSD feature for certain systems containing sodium and calcium solvent atoms. |
DSC-39223 | The Discovery Studio client no longer displays black caps in the 2D structure window when atom display style stick is selected. |
