We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Workbook 2025 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:

Enhancements

This release of BIOVIA Workbook includes the following enhancements.

NBK-33134The underlying third party control of the Workbook Text Section has been upgraded from version Tx.TextSection 14 SP4 to 32 SP3 in Workbook 2025. Spell checking has been disabled for Korean and undo/redo will not work with Korean language settings. If you are connecting to the client via RDP, you may still experience issues when using Korean language settings. If "clone to latest" is enabled, when cloning an Experiment with an older version of text section, the text section content will be cloned to an old text section version. To have the content in the 2025 [latest] text section, it must be manually copied and pasted into the 2025 text section from older text section Existing experiments which were created from templates using the previous version of the Text Section will continue to use that version and to function as expected.

Fixed Defects

This release of BIOVIA Workbook includes the following fixed defects.

NBK-35530As an administrator, you can now configure the Workbook lifecycle to control the Task Plan lifecycle by locking and unlocking the Task Plan.
NBK-35604You can now transition older experiments through the document workflow as expected.
NBK-35462Experiments containing many files and multiple file sections now open in an acceptable amount of time.
NBK-35513Clicking the "Apply" button in the Vault Configuration Tool now works as expected when encryption is used.
NBK-35528After enumerating a reaction and saving and checking in the experiment, you can now check out the experiment a second time and the % Yield is calculated in Enumerated Products section as expected.
NBK-35981The Quick file pane and the File Section can no longer access Restricted folders.
NBK-35459By default, the Description column appears in the Audit History of an experiment.
