We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA COSMOplex 2025 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:
Enhancements
This release of BIOVIA COSMOplex includes the following enhancements.

| SOLCHEM-2045 | Third party libraries have been updated to a newer and/or bugfixed version. For details, refer to the BIOVIA Program Directory at [https://media.3ds.com/support/progdir/ |
| SOLCHEM-2107 | The Qt library used for the COSMOplex UI was updated from to Qt 6 to avoid critical vulnerability in Qt 5. |
Fixed Defects
This release of BIOVIA COSMOplex includes the following fixed defects.
| Defect | Description |
| SOLCHEM-1916 | The COSMOmic import function for pdb-files as implemented in COSMOthermX UI did not work because a required executable was not present in the Windows installation package of COSMOtherm 2024. This is fixed in the current release of COSMOtherm. |
| SOLCHEM-1978 | Previous COSMOplex versions offered a DMOL3 option for the level. However, this was not fully supported and has now been removed to prevent inappropriate usage of DMOL3 level in COSMOplex and COSMOperm. |
