System & Storage Enginner

In our APAC IT organization, we are looking for a motivated System and Storage Engineer who will be technically spearheading the Windows, Virtualization and VDI infrastructure.
You will primarily be part of APAC System and Storage team to plan and implement evolutions in terms of internal IT Infrastructure technologies. You will also be part of multiple projects around Windows, Virtualization and VDI Infrastructure and will support the APAC business needs.

Within Asia Pacific, Dassault Systemes is spread across 10 countries namely India, Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and Australia and constitutes of more than 30% 3DS users globally. 3DS IT Team in Asia Pacific is responsible to enable 3DS businesses across APAC with innovative IT Solutions and world class infrastructure. They are also responsible to manage Production Infrastructure spread across 3 large Data Centers at Singapore, Japan and Pune.
Your base location will be Dassault Systemes Pune campus in India and you will work closely with a geographically distributed team across the continents.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge of architecting, implementing, and administering of Windows, VMware and VDI environments across multiple sites
- Own the L2/L3 ticket pools and make sure that defined Pool SLAs are met
- Work on external & internal tickets by engaging with the ticket owners from different geos to understand their business requirements
- Patch/Upgrade OS, firmware periodically across APAC
- Work with remote IT teams to install/replace new systems as and when it's required
- Keep monitoring the IT Infrastructure performances and proactively intimate the management if there is any upgrade/replacement required.
- Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Must be able to independently or collaboratively troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve Windows & VMware related issues
- Coordinate with business leaders to understand and meet their expectations.
Ensuring adherence to Cyber Security Policy, security standards/procedures/guidelines in all daily activities
- B. Tech / B.E (CS / IT / E&TC) from premier institutions with good academic track records.
- Overall Industry experience of 3-5 years in the Windows & VMware Administration
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience on managing technologies like Windows OS, VMware & VDI infrastructure
- Good hands-on experience in troubleshooting issues around windows & Vmware environment.
- Expert Knowledge on PowerShell, rest API etc. will be an added advantage
- Must have Soft Skill
- Experience in working in an international team
- Experience on an SLA oriented ticketing tool
- Strong Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot or get things done.
- Adaptability, ability to learn faster, independent, responsible and diligent.
- Good team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and analytical skills
- Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the team strategy.
- An Evangelist in terms of cyber security and its latest happenings around the globe
