Description

BIOVIA would like to announce several changes concerning the System Requirements for the upcoming release of Workbook 2021, scheduled to be released in December of 2020.

Significant changes include:

All Client machines must upgrade to the 2021 version of the BIOVIA Workbook Client. Previous versions of the BIOVIA Workbook Client are not supported.
Before upgrading BIOVIA Workbook, users must check-in all experiments. BIOVIA will issue a script to help customers identify checked out experiments before applying an upgrade.
TLS 1.2 is required for BIOVIA Workbook. The Vault Server and Client installers will change the registry during the installation process to enable TLS 1.2 automatically. BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot must also be configured to support TLS 1.2.
BIOVIA Workbook 2021 no longer supports Windows Server 2012 R2 for the Vault Server. Customers must migrate existing Vault Servers to either Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019.
Oracle Database 18c is no longer supported for the Database tier. BIOVIA Workbook 2021 will only support Oracle 12c Release 2 (12.2.x) or 19c (19.7 or later).
