T70-2017: Release Notification of BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2017 R2 HF1

BIOVIA hereby announces the release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2017 R2 HF1.

BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2017 R2, has an issue (issue number ESDX-4794) which causes Excel to hang when started directly and both the following conditions are true:

The BIOVIA Insight for Excel Ribbon is set to auto-load in Excel | Options | Add-ins
The user has a Personal Macro Workbook (PERSONAL.XLSB).

Resolution:
This issue has been fixed in BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2017 R2 HF1.

Note that this issue is not present in BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2018 and upgrading to this release is the solution recommended by BIOVIA.

Customers running BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2017 R2 who are affected by this issue and are not able to upgrade to BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2018 should contact BIOVIA Support requesting access to this hotfix.
