Description
The metadata caching for the LES Adapter for Empower is designed to enable data collection from Empower with minimal user selection of metadata. 
The following outline describes the caching, or defaulting of metadata in an LES Procedure:

  • The first call to the Empower Adapter will require login, and selection of metadata including Sample Set.
     
  • A subsequent call with a new reading will default to the metadata based on what was entered in the first call.
     
  • A subsequent call with a reading already used will default to the metadata based on what was entered the last time the reading was used.
     
  • Selecting Change will fill the metadata based on what is defined in the procedure syntax

If the procedure author wants to direct the user to use different metadata (Sample Set), the author can provide the data capture text “Change the Meta data to the new Sample Set” in the converted procedure.

This technical note is provided to clarify the operation of caching metadata for the LES Adapter for Empower.
