T69-2016: BIOVIA LES 2016 SP1 integration with Instrument Data System (IDS)

We are providing this technical note to inform you of the following issue:

IDS throws an error after upgrade to LES 2016 SP1

 




The LES client installer does not create a COM interface to VQInstrument.dll used by IDS.
This interface is not required on the client server for any other purpose and so was not registered by the latest installer.

Resolution:
Contact BIOVIA Support for a registry file to create keys for the interface to VQInstrument.dll used by IDS.
